Do business cards count towards the “3/12 or 7/12 Rule: You won’t be approved if you have opened 3 or more accounts, with any bank, in the past 12 months. For those with Bank of America deposit accounts, the rule changes to 7+ accounts.”

CMathis

Personal DP: I was denied for the business card this past week. I have opened two business cards and one personal credit card in the past 12 months.

Greg The Frequent Miler

No, business cards don’t count towards that rule

Chase

Capital One business cards do, unfortunately.

CJR

hi, this 72K offer is asking for an employee name and ID. It won’t let me submit without it.

Greg The Frequent Miler

You should be able to leave the name blank and put in any number for the ID.

Can P1 and P2 combine Alaska airlines miles? Thank so much.

Link not working

Nick

Try the link in the comment below, worked for me.

Tejas

Seeing a 62K offer in flight. Also available at alaskaair62k.com

Tejas

Surprisingly I just got approved (I had been denied a couple of years ago).

Offer was 62K miles on 3K spend in 3 months

Nick

Link still worked for me while others didn’t, thanks!

Nun

“Click here to apply” link says “This card application is unavailable”

James

seems like the offer may now be 50k and no statement credit? please double check

yyyyjack

seems like 60k + $100 link expires

ECL

Is anyone still seeing the 60k offer? Sadly the link has expired for me.

kayexalate

I have had this card for 10+ years and somehow have amassed a very high credit limit of $50k. I rarely use it except for the companion fare, but now even find that the $75 is not worth it to me for the companion fare. THinking about closing this card but I have no other B of a cards in my portfolio. rep said there is no option for product changing. Is there a way to apply for another B of A card and transfer my credit limit without it counting against my 5/24 for future Chase applications? I presume not….and if not, deciding which B of A card to apply for

Greg The Frequent Miler

No, I don’t think so. That’s a shame that the rep said there were no product change options. It might be worth calling again to see if you get a different answer.

Greg The Frequent Miler

Thanks! Nick has updated to that offer
